Nike Royal Mid

In a little news from some oft-ignored Nike quasi-classics, the Nike Royal Mid will be getting a couple of new releases, both incorporating the metallic colors we’ve seen lately in shoes like the Air Jordan 1, fitting as these Royals are more than a little reminiscent of the classic basketball shoe. The first pair is stunning, but I’m not sure if that’s in a positive way. It’s a Nike Royal Mid all-silver upper with a white midsole, the second is similar but a little different, it’s sports a completely white upper and sole unit but with a gold toe-box that spills all the way up the tongue. Relatively dope stuff, but as of now they’re only available in Europe from retailers such as the http://www.nikedunk-store.com/.

Nike SB Air Zoom FC - White - Green + Green - White - Available

They’re probably not actually magic shoes, but the newest Nike SB Air Zoom FC certainly appeared out of nowhere. Having collected dust for a couple of years, Nike SB conjured up two new pairs and placed them on their website for curious visitors to find on their own. We considered the possibility that with such an unveiling, they might be a limited or regional release, but whatever the case, we found them stateside.

Nike SB P-Rod II - Gridiron - Black - Sample

Those of you bummed by the end of the Nike SB P-Rod II line will want to take note. Though we’ve seen the last P-Rod II and the P-Rod III is ready to go, these samples are something for the steadfast II lovers to drool over. Though it’s unlikely to ever make it to market, the P-Rod II in a deep shade of purple called ‘gridiron’ with black accents atop a gum sole is absolutely dope. The Swoosh is done in faux-croc skin, adding to the luxury feel of the Gucci-like side panels. Enjoy the pics of these, since that’s as close as you’ll probably ever come to having your own.

Nike Zoom Air Verona Premium WP

When Nike stepped into the Slip-On game with the Nike Zoom Air Verona Premium, they did what they usually do, took the concept to the next level. Adding Zoom Air technology and premium materials, the Verona was already the cream of the Slip-On crop, but Nike went the extra mile by making them waterproof. The white WP upper gives the shoe a super clean look that is offset by some subtle brown accents. The Zoom Air Verona Premium will join the Dunk Low Premium in an upcoming pack of waterproof SB models.

Nike SB Zoom Classic High - Black - White - Red - Holiday 2009

Nike SB recently resurrected the Zoom FC, so we’re not shocked to see another variation on their catalog. Until now just a lowtop, the Nike SB Zoom Classic High takes the design up a few eyelets. This pair offers a simple black and white colourway with just a little bit of red. We can see that the hightop version of the Zoom Classic features a bit of piping around the middle ankle/heel area, similar to the Sky Force.

Nike SB Blazer Low Custom Series - Clark Hassler

Sticking with the theme of skating on cars, Clark Hassler used his experience of grinding on the trunk of a vintage Mercedes-Benz, big-bodied sedan as an inspiration for his Nike SB Blazer Low. Just like the look of the classic Benz used for his Custom Series contribution, Hassler’s Blazer Low is designed with a classy, clean and simple approach. The entire upper of the shoe is smooth, premium looking black leather only divided by stitching and some perforation on the mid-panel. Color is only visible on the inside of the tongue and the gold “NIKE” on the heel tab, which matches the gum sole.

Nike Skateboarding (SB) - April 2009 Releases

With its life-giving showers just around the corner, here we see a glimpse into some of April’s offerings from Nike SB. Of the three pictured in this post, two represent the culmination of the latest Nike SB Custom Series. Justin Brock’s ‘Workwear’ Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro is a perfect match for any Carhartt gear in its low key denim and suede construction. The other Custom Series release is Grant Taylor’s breathtaking Nike SB Blazer Elite. Rounding out this group is the Dunk High that looks an awful lot like the cancelled Heaven’s Gate send-up.
